About Mount Tabor Daycare Center

The Mount Tabor Daycare Center for Children with Disabilities was established in 2017 in Tabora Region, Tanzania. It is a non-profit educational daycare center managed by the Congregation of the Brothers of Charity in Tanzania.

The center provides comprehensive care to children with moderate and severe disabilities, helping them reach their full potential while nurturing independence, confidence, and dignity.

The mission of Mount Tabor Daycare Center is to minimize the impact of disabilities, support children in overcoming life challenges, and empower them to become confident and active members of their communities.

The center is registered under Registration Number 1104 with the Ministry of Community Development, Gender, Women and Special Groups, and operates in accordance with the Law of the Child Act No. 21 of 2009.

The center welcomes children with:

  • Cerebral Palsy
  • Delayed Milestones
  • Down Syndrome
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Intellectual Disability
  • Epilepsy

Children attend the daycare from Monday to Friday under the supervision of four trained educators.

Services Offered:

  1. Special education and extracurricular programs
  2. Therapeutic services (Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy)
  3. Life skills activities adapted to each child
  4. Home visit programs
