Vision: To create an inclusive and compassionate environment where individuals with disabilities can thrive socially, emotionally, and intellectually.

Mission: To provide holistic care, rehabilitation, and empowerment for children and youth with disabilities through education, therapy, and community integration.

Historical Background

Established in 2004, Bangwe Sheltered Home was founded by the Brothers of Charity to support children and youth with disabilities in Kigoma. The center focuses on education, therapy, and social integration.

Number of Beneficiaries

The center currently supports 48 children and young people with mental and physical disabilities, providing them with personalized care.

Criteria for Joining

• Diagnosis of mental or physical disability
• Ages 6–15 years
• Referral from family or community
• Assessment by the center’s care team
